What's going to happen with individual health insurance rates at this time next year? We've been reading news and estimates from various sources. One publication estimated rates will increase by 30%. The Wall Street Journal wrote this past week that lower costs states (like Ohio) may see rates go up by 50-100%!

The projected increases have two main causes:

1) Companies NOT being allowed to medically underwrite their customers and
2) All of the mandates for things like contraception and maternity coverage. (These things aren't free!)

So much for Obamacare making health insurance more affordable!

Of course, we won't know about rates for sure until October at the earliest. And we will keep you posted as we get more information.
